Three Types of Supplementation

All supplements can be grouped into one of three types: Foundational, Corrective and Preventative.

Foundational Supplements

Multivitamins fall into this category, so does fish oil and other basic vitamins, minerals and additives to balance out the weaknesses of the modern day diet.

Processed foods and even fresh (non-organic) produce lack much of the nourishment that used to be found in the foods we might have eaten as kids. Mass production has effectively “watered-down” the nutritional values in our diet so that it is now essential for everyone to add some form of Foundational Supplements to their diet.

Corrective Supplements

No matter how organic our diet, or how perfect our Foundational Supplements, many of us will require additional supplements to compensate for genetic weaknesses or other issues in our body.

Aside from the occasional physical exam, most of us don’t think about our cholesterol, blood pressure, etc until it’s too late. And that’s where Corrective Supplements come in.

A recommendation for Corrective Supplements can therefore only come from analysis of your body’s performance – starting with the results of a comprehensive blood test. We recommend exactly the Corrective Supplements your body needs – as an integral part of maintaining better cholesterol, blood pressure or other measurement needed to stay healthy.

Preventative Supplements

The third level of nutritional supplementation for healthier living are the Preventive Supplements.

Preventative Supplements are those needed by our body to stay healthy, driven by lifestyle, genetics and a host of other factors.

Sample Preventative Supplements are a calcium-magnesium additive for women to help them in the fight against osteoporosis, and saw-palmetto for men over 50 to help them in the fight against prostrate cancer.
